What
We Do
The Lakeway Historical Society was founded in 1988 to educate
residents and to promote and preserve the history of this unique community.
Over a decade later, the Historical Society continues to grow with events and projects that reinforce this
commitment.
Where We Are
The Lakeway Historical Society is located at the corner of
Lohman’s Crossing and Hurst Creek Road in the Byron D. Varner History Center.
The frame building is attached to the oldest stone ranch house in the area, a tract of land once
part of the 13,000 acre Josey Ranch.
